MyCalyx Getting Started

Welcome to Getting Started with MyCalyx.com. Below are step-by-step instructions to help you Manage, Add and Modify installation settings when you set up MyCalyx.

MyCalyx Home Page

The MyCalyx Home page is displayed after you log in to MyCalyx and, depending on your account status, contains options for managing Point® users, mobile users, or downloading the server software for PointCentral®.

  • The top of the page contains links to MyCalyx (which returns you to the MyCalyx home page), Help, your profile, and to log out of MyCalyx.
  • The Getting Started button opens a web page that contains general information that will help you to quickly get started using MyCalyx.
  • The Manage Point Installations button is displayed for users who are assigned the Administrator role. Manage Point Installations is used to add users, assign user roles, and deploy Point to end users.
  • The Manage Mobile Installations button is displayed for users who are assigned the Administrator role at Point sites only. Mobile accounts for PointCentral users are managed by the PointCentral administrator on PointCentral.
  • The Download Server Software button is displayed for PointCentral accounts only.

Passwords

To change your MyCalyx password:

  1. From any page in MyCalyx, click the MyProfile link at the top of the page.
    – The Profile page is displayed.
  2. Enter your new password in the Password field.
    Requirements: Your MyCalyx password must contain a minimum of six characters, at least one uppercase or lowercase letter, and at least one number. In addition to alphabetic and numeric characters, the following characters are allowed: comma, apostrophe, period, hyphen, !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), |, ?, /, ~.
  3. Confirm your new password by entering it in the Re-Enter Password field.
  4. Click Save.

To reset your password:

  1. Click the Forgot Your Password? link on the MyCalyx logon page. The Password Retrieval page is displayed.
  2. Enter your e-mail address and click Submit. An e-mail is sent to the e-mail address on record.
  3. Open the e-mail and click the link as instructed. The Change Password page is displayed.
    Important: The link expires 120 hours after the e-mail is generated. If you do not re-set your password within the 120-hour period, click the Forgot Your Password? link and repeat the process.
  4. Enter your password in the required fields and click Save. The Home page is displayed.

MyCalyx Roles

The following roles are used in MyCalyx:

  • Administrator - Users who are assigned the Administrator role have access rights to manage user roles and assign and deploy Point to end users. The Initial MyCalyx Administrator is assigned when Calyx creates the customer account. Any Administrator is authorized to add additional Administrators as needed for the account.

  • Purchaser - The Purchaser is the MyCalyx user who is authorized to make purchases in MyCalyx.
    Attention: The purchasing process is not implemented in MyCalyx for this release. Therefore, the Purchaser role option is not enabled on the Manage Point Installations page at this time.

  • End User - The End User role is assigned to Point users. After the End User is added to the account, an e-mail that contains a link to initiate the Point installation is automatically generated and sent.
    Important: You can assign an infinite number of end user roles, regardless of whether you have enough licenses. The users who activate the Point installation before all of the licenses are used, have a successful installation. Users who attempt to activate the Point installation after all licenses are installed, receive a message to contact the MyCalyx Administrator.
